We have several types of hanging hardware available, all from Walker Display. The arrangement includes a horizonal "rail" which is permanently installed across the back interior wall of all three built-in display cases.
Removable 4' fiberglass rods hang vertically from the horizontal rail. They can be placed anywhere on the horizontal rail that you wish.
Onto each fiberglass rod, you may add one or more of the holding devices of your choice. They may be placed at any height on the rod. We have "long holders" which when used alone (as in the image at top left), are very good for holding the wire on the back of framed works.
If your framed work has no wire, then you might use two long holders to hold the frame at the top and bottom. (See second image at left.) Note: if your frames are thick, they might not fit inside the lip. If this is a potential concern, just bring in your frame a few weeks ahead of time and we'll see if it fits. With enough advance notice, we may be able to puchase the holders you'd need. (No guarantees - depends on our budget!)
The long holders can slide up or down the vertical fiberglass rod, and then be tightened down by twisting the screw. The screw is clearest in the photo at bottom left. We recommend using a pliers to twist the screw, using light pressure.
If you want to hang something thin and lightweight, like paper, cardstock or a banner, you might prefer the clip device. Like the long holders, these clips may be positioned anywhere from high to low on the fiberglass rods and then tightened down. If you use two rods each equipped with clips, you will be able to hang a very wide horizontal banner quite effectively. See images at bottom left and below. Notice the clip holding one end of red crepe paper.
If you have any questions about these or other hanging devices, please feel free to contact us.
