Reserve a Group Study Room

Reservable Room list in Ellis Library:

Four non-reservable group study rooms (without doors) are also available on the 1st floor. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ask for more information at the Reference Desk.

Instructions for placing a reservation:

  1. Choose a room from the list above.
  2. Click on the “Reserve This Room” yellow link in the middle of the screen.
  3. Enter your pawprint and ID.
  4. Reserve the room by selecting a date and time (a.m./p.m.)
    Click the HOURLY calendar to determine availability.

You have now successfully “checked out” a study room, and you may change or cancel your reservation by logging in to your MERLIN account.

How to View your Reservations

Go to MERLIN and click on the "My Library Account" tab, log in, then "Future Bookings."

Study Room Policies:

  1. Groups (two or more people) only please. Do not reserve this room if only one person will be using it.
  2. QUIET talking and cell phone usage are permitted.
  3. Beverages in library-approved containers only. NO FOOD.
  4. Unattended belongings may be removed after 20 minutes.
  5. Groups arriving later than ten minutes lose their reservations, and the room reverts to first-come, first served usage.
  6. The six rooms are for STUDENT (not faculty or staff) group usage only. Faculty wanting to teach a semester-long class may reserve the 3rd Floor rooms. Contact Ross at TaylorRB@missouri.edu or phone at 882-4692.
