PIN Numbers -- NO LONGER REQUIRED

  • MERLIN requires a PIN number if you use your EMPL ID number (and not your PawPrint) to do the following:
    • View your circulation record
    • Renew items online
    • Get books from other MERLIN libraries
    • Reserve a study room at Ellis Library
  • The first time you REQUEST an Item or VIEW your circulation record in the MERLIN catalog, you create your own PIN (personal identification number).
    • Use numbers or letters, six or more characters long that you can easily remember
  • If you forget your PIN number, it can be changed at any Circulation Desk.

To create your own Pin Number

  1. Connect to the MERLIN Catalog.
  2. Select the option: My Library Account

  5. Enter your PIN Number (numbers or letters, at least six characters long).
  6. Submit
  7. Enter your PIN number a second time.
  8. Submit.
