Terzah Becker grew up in Columbia, graduating from Hickman High School in 1991. A graduate of Rice University, she is pursuing a master's degree in library science from MU's School of Information Science and Learning Technologies. She worked for nine years as a journalist (including several stints at the Columbia Tribune, where John Schneller was her city editor) and served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Russia. She is married and lives in Denver, Colorado.
