Upload a File from your own Computer

  • Go to the administrator's page.
  • Go to your course page, enter the password (if necessary) and click Page Management.
  • Select the Documents and Copyright tab. Then select “Add Document.”
  • Documents already posted to the site can be manipulated using the Modify Selected, Remove Selected, and Export Data features. Modify Selected allows both files and on-screen information to be changed.
  • First fill in title, enter bibliographic information, and choose “save”.
  • Use the link at the top of the page to transfer files to the server from your local hard drive.
  • Put the cursor at the beginning of the File 1 field.
  • Press the Browse button next to the file that contains the needed document.
  • Select the needed document, press the Upload button, and close the window.
  • The file will appear in the User Staging Area (Private).
  • Click on the paperclip next to the file title that you want on your course page.
  • The filename will move to the left column. Double click on the filename.
    The image will appear, allowing you to verify that the document is the one you want on your course page.
  • If it is your document, then close the image.
  • Scroll down to the bottom and press "Done." The new document will appear on your Course Reserves page.
