Add a Faxed Document to Your Course Reserves Page

  • The top margin on each faxed sheet should be at least ½”-5/8”.
    • The fax machine will overwrite any information you place here.
  • Fax each document (all sheets of paper comprising one article, homework solutions, exam, etc.) separately to 884-5073.
    • Be sure to note what time you sent the fax. (This will take a few minutes or longer)
    • The time that appears in the staging area is the time the fax was received.
  • If faxing consecutive documents, pause before faxing the second document
    • The pause ensures that two documents are not stored under the same file name.
  • Please preview the document to make sure it is yours
    • The filename of the displayed document is the date and time the document was entered into the system.
    • Make sure it is right side up, readable, etc.
  • Limit the number of faxed pages to 15 at one time to expedite the process.

Post the page

  • Go to the administrator's page.
  • Go to your course page, enter the course page password (if necessary).
  • On the Page Management screen select the Documents and Copyright tab.
  • Select "Add Document".
  • Select "Add a new Document and associate it with this Course Reserve Page".
  • Enter the title, bibliographic information, visibility dates and choose "save".
  • From the "Files in the DocuFax Staging Area" on the far right of the next page, select which file or files you wish to attach to your course page by clicking on the paperclip to the left of the filename. You can view the document and confirm that it is yours by clicking on the filename, opening the document and then closing it. The Docufax Staging Area is shared by everyone, so please do not attach or remove other people's faxed documents.
  • After clicking on the paperclip, your file will move to the left side of the panel to an area labeled "File(s) Attached to this Document".
  • Select "Done" at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select “Close Window”. The file(s) listed as being attached to the document will appear on your Course Reserves Page.
