Find a Journal Online or in Paper
If there is a
button attached to the citation:
- Select it to determine if the article is available online.
- If the article is not available online, then select the MERLIN Catalog link to see if the library holds the journal.
- Copy the call number, then go back to the citation and copy or print it out.
- You will need the volume, issue, and page number from the citation to find the journal article.
- If a print copy is not available, select request through Interlibrary Loan/Request a Copy
- The journal information will copy over into the interlibrary loan request form after you https://ill.mul.missouri.edu/MUU/logon.html. (First time users must register, but the interlibrary loan service is free)
- Copy or print the citation in case the information does not copy over into the request form. You will need the volume, issue, and page number from the citation to find the journal article.
If there is no FindIt@MU button in the citation:
- Open a new window in your browser.
- Select http://finditatmu.library.missouri.edu/.
- Enter the title of the journal.
- See if the journal is available electronically.
- If it is not available online, click the link MERLIN Catalog.
- If the library owns the journal copy the call number, then go back to the citation and copy or print it out.
- You will need the volume, issue, and page number from the citation to find the journal article.
