Learn some of the more sophisticated features of database searching to yield the results you want. Using a variety of databases, we'll focus on practical techniques that can save you time and effort.(1.5 hours)

CREATING BIBLIOGRAPHIES WITH ENDNOTE

EndNote is a powerful program for storing citation data and producing in-text citations and bibliographies in a plethora of formats.  Learn how to put this tool to work for your academic writing. (1 hour)

 CREATING BIBLIOGRAPHIES WITH ZOTERO + LIBX TOOLBAR

Zotero can do some of the same things, and it's portable and simple to use.  Learn how to put this tool to work for your academic writing and a bonus introduction to LibX toolbar.(1 hour)

QUICK, PRODUCTIVE TIPS ON USING SCOPUS AND GOOGLE SCHOLAR

 Comparing some features of Scopus and Google Scholar such as subject searching, kinds of literature retrieved, and citation searching. (1 hour)

FINDING SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND DEMOGRAPHIC STATISTICS

Strengthen research reports, papers, and grant proposals with reliable statistics.  Find authoritative socio-economic and demographic data on American populations at any geographic level. (1 hour)
