LITERATURE REVIEWS & BEYOND: TIPS & TRICKS FOR RESEARCH
Learn some of the more sophisticated features of database searching to yield the results you want. Using a variety of databases, we'll focus on practical techniques that can save you time and effort.(1.5 hours)
ENDNOTE/ZOTERO
EndNote is a powerful program for storing citation data and producing in-text citations and bibliographies in a plethora of formats. Zotero can do some of the same things, and it's portable and simple to use. Learn how to put either or both tools to work for your academic writing. (1.5 hours)
MAKING SENSE OF CITATION COUNTS, H-INDEX, IMPACT FACTORS & MORE
Find the most cited journals in your field, who is citing whom, and what database is best for determining citation counts and influence in discipline. (1 hour)
BLACKBOARD, THE LIBRARY, AND YOU
Connect your course to articles, books, and the library. Learn when to use Blackboard for linking, when you need to use E-Reserves, and how to create durable article links. (1 hour)
