Describes the status of religious freedom in each foreign country, government policies violating religious belief and practices of groups, religious denominations and individuals, and U.S. policies to promote religious freedom around the world.
- Supporting Human Rights and Democracy
An annual report submitted to Congress highlighting actions taken by the U.S. Government to encourage respect for human rights. This report complements the annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices. Coverage is from 2002-2006.
- Trafficking in Persons
The Secretary of State submits this annual report to Congress. It covers "severe forms of trafficking in persons". Coverage is from 2001 to present.
- Universal Declaration of Human Rigbts (UN)
The UDHR was the first international recognition that all human beings have fundamental rights and freedoms and it continues to be a living and relevant document today.
- UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues
An advisory body to the (ECOSOC), its mandate is to discuss indigenous issues related to culture, economic and social development, education, the environment, health and human rights. Publications include desk reviews, case studies, and reports.
- US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF)
The Comissioners assess and propose U.S. foreign policy action to advance freedom of thought, conscience, and religion and other freedoms. Includes reports on "Countries of Particular Concern," countries on the "Watch list" and the 2008 Annual report.
