Recorded Sound
Located in the NE corner of the fourth floor of Ellis Library, the Recorded Sound Center houses a collection of over 17,000 audio and video recordings and provides listening and viewing facilities for individuals and small groups. Most materials may be checked out by MU faculty, staff, and students for one week. Most of the materials support the Music curriculum, but the collection also includes recordings of historic speeches and radio programs, sound effects, literary readings and interviews, and some documentary films.
Almost all the Libraries' video tapes are operas.
If you need a video for a class try the Academic Support Center Media Library, which rents videos or 9th Street Video 875-4112 which has a wide selection of movies.
