About the Exchange List Service

This site brings together lists of government publications that federal depository libraries in Missouri would like to discard. These "exchange lists" serve two functions: they are used to request disposal permission from the regional federal depository library (as required by law), and they give both depository and non-depository libraries in Missouri an opportunity to acquire depository publications that have been targeted for disposal.

Anyone may request publications from these lists; however, publications may be distributed only with the written permission of the regional federal depository library. To request a publication, click on the Institution's name. Publications are available at no cost; however, the offering library may request reimbursement for shipping costs over $5.00.

Instructions for saving Exchange Lists:

1. Position mouse over the exchange list number.
2. With the right mouse button, click on the exchange list number.
3. From the menu that appears, choose "save target as", "save file as", or "save link as".
4. Save file to preferred directory.

Disposal of government publications distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program is governed by Title 44, United States Code, Section 1912, and by the Guidelines for the Disposal of Federal Depository Publications in Missouri.
