|November 10, 1998||In the early morning hours Columbia Missouri was struck by a tornado. UMLD suffered significant damage during this weather event.|
|March 15-18, 2001||June L. DeWeese, Head of Access Services, Ellis Library, University of Missouri-Columbia, gave the following presentation to the Association of College and Research Libraries at the 10th National Conference in Denver, Colorado. The presentation details severe weather damage that occurred on November 10, 1998, stressing the importance of having a disaster plan.
