Picking Up a Book for Someone Else
I would like to know why I can’t pick up a book for my wife, who is a student and not on campus. I am a faculty member for God’s sake, what do you think I am going to steal the book? Rediculous!
We actually can usually accommodate patrons who need something picked up for them. Please contact the Circulation/Reserve Desk in advance. The number is 882-3362.

Campus Maps
I came to the library today to find a decent campus map. While the people working at both the circulation and the reference desks were very helpful (they wound up printing a map for me), none of the campus maps they had to give me were of much use. They were small and of poor quality (photocopies). Could the library start distributing more useful maps?
Thanks for your comment. We request new campus maps each year. This year they sent the maps to the Digiprint Center instead of to the Reference Desk. Sorry about the confusion. We will make sure that we have maps at the Reference Desk also.

Great Customer Service From a Student Worker
I just wanted to tell you about how impressed I was with one of your shelvers on 3 East. I think she was a part time student worker. When I passed her for the second time, she asked if she could help me find something, then took me to the spot on the shelf to help me locate my item. Wonderful customer service! I didn’t even have to ask for help.
