PIN Number
- MERLIN requires a PIN number if you use your EMPL ID number (and not your PawPrint) to do the following:
- View your circulation record
- Renew items online
- Get books from other MERLIN libraries
- Reserve a study room at Ellis Library
- The first time you REQUEST an Item or VIEW your circulation record in the MERLIN catalog, you create your own PIN (personal identification number).
- Use numbers or letters, six or more characters long that you can easily remember
- If you forget your PIN number, it can be changed at any Circulation Desk.
To create your own Pin Number
- Connect to the MERLIN Catalog.
- Select the option: My Library Account
- Enter your name.
- Enter your ID number (Students, Faculty and Staff):
- enter zero + EMPL ID + c
Example: 012345678c.
- Students: look up your EMPL ID # in myZou
- Faculty or staff: find your EMPL ID #
- enter zero + EMPL ID + c
- Enter your PIN Number (numbers or letters, at least six characters long).
- Submit
- Enter your PIN number a second time.
- Submit.
