Antonio de Quintanadueñas was a Spanish priest. He wrote devotional literature and hagiography, or the lives of saints. This work, translated into Portuguese, is a handbook meant to instruct candidates for ordination. It has been used recently in classes on religious studies and Romance languages.

The book has loose endpapers and joints. The conservator will remove modern stamps and markings, reinforce the joints, and put the endpapers back onto the pastedowns.
