L’Origine de l’imprimerie de Paris

Chevillier, André

A Paris: Chez Jean de Laulne..., 1694

This text on the history of printing in Paris was written around the two hundredth anniversary of the art. In the book Chevillier concludes that Johan Gutenberg had been the inventor of printing after he did some extensive research. The invention of printing by Gutenberg was still contested at the time. This is an interesting piece on printing history.
