| Castelnau a French citizen spent much of his life as a diplomat and ambassador to Queen Elizabeth I, of England. He was unsuccessful in his attempt to reconcile Mary Stuart, of Scotland and Elizabeth. However, he acted as ambassador to various other parts of Europe on behalf of France throughout his days. This book is a compilation of his life filled with the interesting figures he met along the way. |
